"A Daisy Kind of Day"

I am always thankful for a good painting day. It is sacred, meditative, intuitive, a communion of sorts. It conjures up the things that are more real than reality, that we never truly understand, but always have an abiding knowing of–the place where time is irrelevant and some thing comes from no thing. Pretty amazing stuff. I never expect to understand the creative process , I’m just glad it’s part of life … what are you thankful for today?

Shirley–for most part I photograph outdoors. I have a place on my fence that is indirectly lit by bouncing sunlight from my white house (its a 6′ privacy fence that sits about 10 feet from the back of my house). It works great–its warm without bleaching the color out and also produces no glare on the oils. Winter time I have to get more creative and it is usually harder to get the shots I am pleased with.ReplyCancel

A beautiful painting. Thanks for the big picture… its great to get a close look. Do you photograph your paintings in the sun? or with lights.ReplyCancel
