A Few of My Favorite Things/ Handmade + Journal= Awesome Fun!

One thing I would really be  sad about was if I couldn’t  work in my journal.  It’s my own private little life line 😉

So there is no way I could make it through A Few of  My Favorite Things Giveaway without giving away a journal.  I am quite proud of myself for being SO DOGGONE SNEAKY.  I managed to save one Red Fabriano journal from my trip to Italy to give away now 😉

It was hand carried by me all the way from Tuscany, handmade by the folks at Fabriano papers in Italy….for one lucky duck.

As an added optional “bonus” …cough, cough…..Eddie has offered to autograph it for you……

You can get your name in for a chance to your own RED Fabriano handmade journal by entering below.

More fun giveaways coming your way that include my favorite wet painting carrier and favorite twinkling watercolors.

P.S.  All of A Few of My  Favorite Things Giveaways are all still open at this time for entering, just in case you’ve missed any.  You can  go to my home page to view all posts.

IF I am chosen, I will take this as a sign from the Lord that yes, I will be taking my beloved granddaughter to Italy in the near future. So, in this journal, which will be saved until that day, I will make loving notations of our trip, our conversations, our dreams for the future, pen and ink drawings (and/or watercolors) of things we did and saw, pressed flowers along the way (during the trip), and anything else that will reflect our wonderful time together. When complete, I will give this journal to my granddaughter. Thanks, DreamaReplyCancel

I recall years ago visiting Florence and being entranced by so many wonderful stationers shops with marvelous handmade papers, journals, pens and calligraphy supplies. What a wonderful place to be an artist. Handmade journals always remind me of Italy. It would be wonderful to do sketches of Tuscany or Sienna in it.ReplyCancel

I look forward to one of your classes Dreama where you teach us oil painters to be less helpless when it comes to WC. Hope I win becasuse prizes are such fun.ReplyCancel

  • Julie - December 26, 2013 - 9:32 am

I love art journals–I’d love to be able to say, “I journal, and these are the journals I’ve kept through the years, the drawings I did each day…” Time just seems to go by so swiftly, and taking time to journal gets lost. I begin each year with the Plan of drawing/writing something each day. Perhaps I should give it one more try…ReplyCancel

Now that I’ve used up all three of my Laurel Burch cats journals, as well as my beautiful mini one from wonderful Scottish crafter Aileen Clarke, I’m on the search for a new and beautiful and insiring journal to be my new daily companion…filled with sketches, mini decopauge-y little projects, paper mementos from places I’ve been and want to remember as keepsakes, paintings, as well as various musings and meanderings…

Truly a wonderful and beautiful gift, Dreama.

And as it’s Christmas today, I wish you and your family, including the Eds and Maggie, and all the many readers of your blog, Nollaig shona Dhuit from a wet and threatening-to-be-stormy Ireland.ReplyCancel
