Big vs. Small and Common Scents

BIG VS. SMALL
I have long been a fan of the BIG PICTURE, the sweeping view, the epiphany!
Always the one looking for the handwriting on the wall that said (in very large letters) GO THIS WAY.

Instead, what I have usually been met with are tiny clues—like a line from a book that has pointed me not to my final destination but to the very next place on my path—which might be, metaphorically speaking, only 2 doors down.
What is very worthy to point out is this…. maybe what matters most is whatever gets us to the next place.
Maybe a book, a dream, a conversation. Maybe one kind word from an unexpected source. Maybe one LOOK that says I know you can do it.
Perhaps its not one big pivotal moment that forever sets us on the right path but JUST MAYBE it’s a series of tiny clues that fall into place and build the road to the life we are meant to live.
Just maybe ❤

“Common Scents” is a beautiful, peaceful painting. I too love the long view and am rereading “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho. Your blog agrees with Paulo’s book in paying attention to omens, nudges, tiny clues and hunches. Those pivotal moments indeed set us on the right path in the direction of our divine destiny. I am always eager to get your blog as it inspires me!

Always treasure my big to me/tiny sentence from you….”Begin where you are”…Love that clue in my life and thank you for that! Beautiful painting for your special daughter…love that!

Oh, Dreama. This painting is absolutely, stunningly beautiful. The colours – my favourites being purples and blues – lit up my heart and my spirits today, when I desperately needed uplifting.
And I agree – those little signposts, those little tugs, those little steps that will take you to where your heart, your spirit, your soul, your dreams, your inspirations, your wishes need to sojourn to. It’s all about the journey, as an age-old adage tells us time and time again.
Or, in the words of the late, great Robert Palmer, we need to be ‘looking for clues.’
Thank you for this, Dreama. Thank you so much for this. Thank you for all the colour, love and joy you bring.
