  • June - January 23, 2016 - 5:14 pm

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much, Dreama. Today’s class was beyond wonderful, and I have already learned so much, and am so inspired and motivated, ready to begin.

Although I still need to sort out my physical work/play/paint space, no worries…as the motivation and the enthusiasm are all in place, at the ready, so where there’s a will and where there’s motivation and enthusiasm, there’s a way.

Thank you for all that you do, Dreama, and for all the joy that you bring.ReplyCancel

You are the giver and the gift.

I work with acrylics, easier to clean up, would that work for the workshop???ReplyCancel

    • Dreama - January 2, 2016 - 8:33 am

Hi Patti–you said workshop here and I’m assuming you are talking about the Dream.Love.Paint Ecourse? For that here’s the scoop: My vibrant colors and brush work are achieved with oil paints and that is what is outlined in the supply lists for this course.

Naturally, you are welcome to use whatever colors, brushes, mediums, and surfaces that you wish for following along.

You can always build a wish list for later as you watch the videos.

Note about Acrylics: My method in oils is working alla prima (wet layer back into wet layer). Acrylics dry rapidly and make for a different result. Much of my thought process, loose style and brush work is applicable to both mediums.

I want you to feel the liberty to pick and choose what you like/need according to your budget AND at the same time let you know specifically what I use—and why—so that you know exactly how I achieve the vibrant colors and effects that I do in my paintings. Fair enough?ReplyCancel

Okay normally I absolutely dread January. A native Floridian displaced to Michigan for almost 30 years, I’ve never quite embraced the cold dark days. However, I can hardly wait for January 2016, thanks to you. Thank you so much for the joy, color and inspiration your work brings to the world. I can hardly wait to be a part of it!! Beautiful, and wonderful…as always, and as all your paintings are. They all have brought so much joy.

I so need to take this e-course. I need it for so many reasons. I know – as do we all know – that it’s going to be absolutely brilliant, and it’s going to be an absolute joy.

Tease us to your heart’s content, Dreama. It just adds to the excitement and anticipation – very much like that feeling on Christmas morning.ReplyCancel

FINALLY the date has been set for the BIG REVEAL ?!!

Living in Kentucky it would seem obvious that you bought a race horse called Drematime and Eddie is the jockey. You’ve been busy designing your impressionistic colors for the silks, which will create a fashion rage in racing circles because you insisted on using more than three colors. Eddie has been in training all summer and he’s not happy that the horse is a mudder because Eddie has to take a bath more often than he wants.ReplyCancel

  • Mary Jo - November 3, 2015 - 5:31 pm

I’m hoping it’s either a 20 DVD box set (with accompanying book to further motivate and inspire us), or that you’re turning part of your house (or building a separate wing onto your house) into an all-year-round combined teaching workshop and art gallery…and a cafe inside that. 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Robert A. Sloan - October 30, 2015 - 2:14 pm

Oh this is going to be fun! Give your furry muse some scritches for me. Too bad it’s not the cattery – but maybe you’re going to do a series of Eddie portraits in floral settings? A cat makes a great still life subject, at least when asleep! They can pose for a whole two minutes without fidgeting or rolling over, often take the same pose repeatedly and sometimes show their heads, tails, legs instead of what Ari’s doing now, the “donut with ears” pose.ReplyCancel
