Surely someone has told you this already, but while in Shreveport, you must go visit the area behind the Norton Art Gallery and see the acres of huge azaleas in bloom in a beautiful setting. The flowers should be in full bloom this coming weekend. There are restrictions on taking photos because professional photographers have abused the privilege, but very much worth the trip. And a quick tour of the museum (free) is worth your time as well.ReplyCancel

  • June - July 15, 2013 - 11:36 am

I’ve loved every minute of ‘our’ trip to France, and I’m kinda sad to be leaving…but then again, there’s always next year, right? Thank you for every photograph, every video diary entry, every beautiful watercolour journal page you shared with us, every carte postalle you’re also generously sharing with us, for all the chocolat, the beautiful streets, markets, doorways, windowsills, aromatic and luscious lavender fields, and of course, sharing Loki with us. So irresistibly adorable.

You’re right, and I was quite moved – beauty, in all its forms, is everywhere and all around us. All we need do is open our eyes and our hearts and see and feel it connecting with us.

Have a lovely and safe journey back home, and we look forward to more photos from your time there, and more memories and anecdotes and fun. The Eds will be so happy to see you come through your front door – I’m sure they’ve missed you (and of course want to see what gifts you’ve brought back home for them).ReplyCancel
