You went to Burano!!! Isn’t it absolutely beautiful!? I loved that little motor boat ride from Venice to Burano (and Murano, too).

And yes! The colours of all the buildings were amazing. Reminds me so much of the west of Ireland that way.

And yes! yes! All those cats!! Everywhere! Pussy galore is absolutely the best way to describe Burano (and Murano, too).

I just did not want to leave Venice. We were only there for about 4 days, but it was enough time for me to have beautifules memories to last a lifetime.

And yes! I would love to have that beautiful handmade scarf from Burano. Or anything at all from beautiful, beloved and bellisimo Venezia (or Burano). One of my favourite places in the world.

These video diaries you’ve done throughout this particular holiday destination brought a joyful tear and big smiles and grins to my face and my heart, Dreama. How I yearn to go back there – where my ancestors are originally from. Thank you so much for all you’ve shared with us. It’s been the next best thing to being there.ReplyCancel

Yes, I have spoken with Ed. He has followed you to Venice but he had a variety of shenanigans getting there. He doesn’t take too kindly to water! He’s not quite sure about this place! He is still keeping an eye on you, and has told me you have had far too many gelatos and espressos. He says, you might want to take it easy.ReplyCancel

A few days ago, I forwarded one of your blogs posts to my friend Bruce. I wrote: “Dreama’s in Italy again, this time in Cortuna. Scroll down through the photos – she managed to get BOTH of my favorite colors in one shot – periwinkle and chartreuse!”

Something was wrong…Cortuna…did Frances Mayes spell it that way?…I couldn’t figure out what the problem was, needed to leave for an appointment, and so changed Cortuna to Tuscany and sent off the email.

It was only yesterday that I realized that I had used Eddie’s spelling for Cortona….Tsst.ReplyCancel

This has been such a joy and a pleasure to come along with you, Dreama. I’ve been loving every minute of it – and the video diaries are an added gift (I love what you’re wearing in this video, by the way – did you buy it there in Italia or did you already have it and brought it with you?).

Just arrived in Venice and it looked like I was not going to have internet connection at all—then it popped on this morning. I am thinkin that when they were building an entire city that floats on water they weren’t giving much thought to wifi.
Yep, that’s your deep thought for today ๐Ÿ™‚

I am in love…I am truly in love with Tuscany. I’ve never been, but now I wanna go there. I want to be there right now..and thanks to you, these gorgeous photos, and the wonderful video, I am there, enjoying every moment of this virtual Italian holiday you’ve invited us along to enjoy with you.

I love that cafe – and that watercolour you did of it just brought a huge smile to my face. Bellisismo. Oh…to have a pastry and espresso there…or perhaps some wine…

Yes…all this most definitely confirms and re-affirms to me why I love Italy so very much. So absolutely beautiful, on so many levels. I yearn to return there. And yeah, 2015 in Tuscany would be a wonderful place to have a workshop. Or Venezia. Just sayin’…

Couldn’t stop giggling while reading Undercover Agent Eddie’s take on it all. 007 is nowhere in this fella’s league – Eddie is ‘The Spy Who Meowed at Me.’ ๐Ÿ™‚

Ohhhh….to be in Italy right now….I found that very same thing about Italy – Italy loves cats, and cats love Italy. Amazing how Eddie found a way to get there to ‘Cortuna’ (love it!).

What a gorgeous buon journal that is! It’d go quite nicely with the also gorgeous sparkly, shiny, glimmery H20 paint pots…just sayin’ ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel
