I have been invited to be a mainstage artist to speak about my art and newly released book, "Let There Be Love...".  This event is for two of my most favorite things on the planet...Books and Art!  I am honored to have been included and look forward to meeting new people and making new friends!

Exhibit

Location: Bromwell's Gallery

I have been invited by Evan Hildebrandt of Bromwell's Gallery to share some of my recent work along side a new exhibit going up for June. This is my first time showing in Cincinnati, Ohio,  so I am excited for the opportunity of meeting new people and sharing my work. If you live in the area, this is a chance to see some of my work in person...:))

Paris ArtWalk

This happens twice a year in Paris and it is just an all around fun evening.  Artists are set up all over town inside the local businesses.  I will be hanging out with my good friend, Bobby Shiflet, owner of Frames on Main.  I will  have some of my new work there along with my new book.  It's always a great evening complete with food and music.  Stop by and see me!

This show has truly been a labour of love.  I am excited at getting to have a party to celebrate it.....and you.  The love that we have for each other is what helps us each to grow in to the wonderul, unique, beautiful spirits that we are.  I hope you will be able to join me for the evening of February 19, 2010 and share this occasion.  There will be 26 sparkling, layered, colorful, paintings filled with joy, love, and peace for you to drink in. Please bring a friend--I love to add new, incredible people to my life.

**Please note the Gallery B location is 145 West Main (their new home for the past two years) next to Bellini's Restaurant.  For more information call 859-233-0911 or go to GalleryBLexington.com

A few photos from the Opening Reception  for
"Let There Be Love...."

Sure sign of a great time.....I took my camera and totally forgot to take pictures...:) Luckily, my husband did snap a few, early, before it became too busy-- which I have posted here.  Just wanted to take a moment to tell you how wonderful it was to see

A few moments of quiet before the opening....

A lot happened between the first photo and this one....you'll just have to imagine it......or come to Gallery Hop February 19th and check it out for yourself....:)

Me 'n' Cate (she's so petite I am slinking down trying to look shorter.....I don't think it worked.)

Okay....here is where you imagine listening to James Taylor singing "Shower the People You Love with Love"   Feel free to hum along.....

Don't laugh. No thing is complete without it's own soundtrack.  I made a CD for this opening  comprised of music I had listened to a lot when painting this body of works.  Including sweet Baby James.  And Michael Buble'.  And Jim Brickman.

Lorrie, Gallery Director Megan Craig, and guess who......

Just one of the bouquets of incredible roses from "The Cutting Garden" in Lexington.  Mellow Ellis, the owner, outdid herself.  By the end of the evening this vase was emptied out......each guest grabbed a rose as they headed out into the night.  However, there are still some left, so if you missed tonight, be sure and head down this week-end  to visit  Gallery B..... and don't forget your rose!

It was a lovely, love filled evening.  Just  exactly what I had envisioned.  Lots of hugs, smiles, and warmth.  It is, after all, all about love.
