"Eddie Goes Hollywood" SOLD

“Eddie Goes Hollywood”
8 x 8in oil on museum quality panel
The star that appeared on the door to Eddie’s room should have warned me that something was up.
Then the photographer showed up today to begin shooting…you guessed it..Head Shots!
Eddie says he needs them so his agent can get things cranking in LaLa  Land aka Hollywood!
Phyllis of course has been skittering through the house with mousse and a blow dryer, fussing over Eddie’s hair/fur.  Has even taken to calling him Mr. Eddie Bill .

I know I should have nipped that Johnny Depp/Eddie Bill  “twins separated at birth”  theory in the bud—but then I just decided to roll with it.  Asked him if I could immortalize those sterling, handsome, James Dean looks in a portrait before he becomes really famous.  Which of course he was totally on board with.

Hence the dashing pose.

Love the star above the CAT door. Eddie has that Depp smolder and half smile down pat. Maybe they really are related???ReplyCancel

Eddie has really perfected his “I am better than you but you may gaze upon my beauty” look. I think he’s ready for superstar status.ReplyCancel

Eddie just has that movie star look to him – or is that Dreama’s painting skill showing through. Great fur on this painting – I mean the paint, not the real thing!ReplyCancel

Thanks everyone. It helps to have support in the face of living with the “star” personality of Eddie. Acatmey awards indeed! Sadly, that is where it’s probably all headed. Leslie, he knows about the 3rd floor suite–I slipped up on that. And yeah, I think he does bear a striking resemblance to J. Depp, but I am not going to tell him that. Well, gotta run while Eddie is still willing to spend time with us “little people”…ReplyCancel

  • Anne Stickney - January 24, 2011 - 5:32 pm

I hope he’ll let you ride in the limo with him when he gets there. You know how they forget all the “little people” when they get that Hollywood thing going on.
    Great painting, Dreama.ReplyCancel

You inspire me, your paintings of course but I read your article and signed up for the Kevin McPherson’s basic membership after reading. Dreama, you need to know how much I look forward to listening each week to you and Leslie. I’ve come to look forward and depend on it! I need the encouragement and I feel like a part of a select group hanging out each week. Thank you.
    Blessings, RandyReplyCancel

An absolutely exquisite painting–glad Eddie would consent before all the Hollywood hoopla starts. Thanks for the good info on Kevin McPherson’s newsletter.ReplyCancel

You know…I think if I put side by side photos of Eddie and Johnny D next to each other, I’m not sure I could tell them apart. It’s all in the eyes (which you captured so well)!

  • Katherine Thomas - January 24, 2011 - 6:21 am

How fun! I love the painting and I’ll be following Eddie’s career in the weeks to come!ReplyCancel
