"Eddie’s Good Side??" SOLD

Eddie has been after me all day to paint him. This is a predictable follow up to me painting outside the family…as was the case with yesterday’s Eklecktic cat, Scooter. All I heard today while I was working on one of the paintings for my show was, “Paint my good side, paint my good side.”
Well, I hate to rain on Eddie’s parade, but it came as a shock to me to consider the possibility that he has a good side. Seriously. He never lifts a paw to do laundry, pick up after himself or anything that could resemble help. However, he does….chew on my plants, shed profusely, sleeps in the sink, insists on having the faucet on then turns and walks away like he’s not interested, always wants on the other side of whatever door is closed.
The problem is–I am a sucker for furry critters and Eddie knows this. I must have been a cat in a past life or something. At any rate, here’s Eddie’s “good side”—- according to him.

Thanks everyone–glad you are enjoying Eddie. I do love to paint cats in all their grand furriness. And Carla–who knows–I have never thought of a children’s book, but if Eddie keeps on modeling, we may end up with one..:)ReplyCancel

    Hi Dreama,
It occurs to me that with your talent for painting cats and your ability to turn a phrase beautifully, you’d be a natural to write and illustrate children’s books about Eddie and his friends!ReplyCancel

Maybe Eddie was trying to make it up to you by being such a “good” study.
Although, by the look of his grin, I’d say he was still in control.ReplyCancel

Great painting. The light from the window perfectly highlights Eddie’s good side. Great composition and color (as usual!)ReplyCancel

Eddie is one very lucky kitty to see himself painted on so many canvases. And how lucky we all are to enjoy his stories and your paintings, which of course, tell his story so well!ReplyCancel
