A few photos from the Opening Reception for
"Let There Be Love...."
Sure sign of a great time.....I took my camera and totally forgot to take pictures...:) Luckily, my husband did snap a few, early, before it became too busy-- which I have posted here. Just wanted to take a moment to tell you how wonderful it was to see
A few moments of quiet before the opening....
A lot happened between the first photo and this one....you'll just have to imagine it......or come to Gallery Hop February 19th and check it out for yourself....:)
Me 'n' Cate (she's so petite I am slinking down trying to look shorter.....I don't think it worked.)
Okay....here is where you imagine listening to James Taylor singing "Shower the People You Love with Love" Feel free to hum along.....
Don't laugh. No thing is complete without it's own soundtrack. I made a CD for this opening comprised of music I had listened to a lot when painting this body of works. Including sweet Baby James. And Michael Buble'. And Jim Brickman.
Lorrie, Gallery Director Megan Craig, and guess who......
Just one of the bouquets of incredible roses from "The Cutting Garden" in Lexington. Mellow Ellis, the owner, outdid herself. By the end of the evening this vase was emptied out......each guest grabbed a rose as they headed out into the night. However, there are still some left, so if you missed tonight, be sure and head down this week-end to visit Gallery B..... and don't forget your rose!
It was a lovely, love filled evening. Just exactly what I had envisioned. Lots of hugs, smiles, and warmth. It is, after all, all about love.
