Everybody Loves You When You’re Down…NOT!

Hate Mail.
I get it on occasion.
I usually don’t mention it here, no point in bringing you down too.

This time it came from an unbelievable source though.
MY SISTER!
It seems that the lower one sinks the fewer friends (and family) you will find.  Particularly when it involves sinking to the southern most tip of Florida when others are freezing their %^$#’s off.
I present my case:

Temp at Home….

The Low Down Temp….

So when I messaged my Sis this morn with this pic

I get this reply

Evidently, when folks are freezing their collective tooshie’s off, they don’t want to hear someone else rambling about brown sugar beaches

And ships that have come in

So because of that and  other reasons (like Eddie has now arrived and has brought his own set of problems with him) I am realizing that I will, at some point, have to return home.
They say you can’t take it with you.
To which I say…..

They have never met a desperate woman on the beach in January heading back to burrrzero temps…. 🙂  (Yes, that would be me, sand bagging or bagging sand.  Whatever you want to call it, it’s me stealing Key West, a bag at a time….)

UPDATE:   There has been an  Eddie incident here in the Keys.

The rest of the story (with video)  next blog post…:-)

BECAUSE

I still have more to tell you about Key West.

Where else  you gonna  hear about a banjo playing Darth Vadar ?
Meet me back here  😉

P.S.  A new workshop has been added for Shreveport, Louisiana—for details, just click here 😉

Still grinning, two days later, just thinking about reading this post (and seeing your sister’s text message) for the first time. Like Bruce just said, you always bring a smile to my face, and good humour to what might well be an otherwise gloomy or dreary or wet or (dare I use the word) cold day here.
I have to say that I don’t blame you one teeny tiny bit for wanting to hang on to the warmth and the sunshine (and bring back some of that ever-lovin’ Floridian-toasted sand with you) for as long as possible. I’d be and feel the exact same way. On the other hand (I sound like Tevye from ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ lol) I can’t blame your sis for feeling just a teeny tiny tad bit envious (in the best possible way, of course) that you’re there and she’s freezing her petunias (and the rest of her) off. It’s cold here too (not as cold as zero degrees, but cold enough to make me grumpy and wish for a sunny and hot beach to chillax), and to top it off, we just ran out of home heating oil, so am (im)patiently waiting for the oil man to bring the heat.
Can’t wait to hear all your tales and good times spent in Key West. I’ll bet Eddie has some stories of his own, too. 🙂
Safe journey home…and on the way…think warm brown sugar beaches, sunglasses, pina coladas, shorts and sandals…

I’d love to know the brand and color of the polish on your toes! It’s gorgeous. Just like your paintings.

Ernie called. He’s allergic to cats unless it is below zero; then the cold doesn’t bother him. He wanted you to know.

    Dreama,
You never fail to bring a smile to my face:) Love your new nail/toe color polish. Have a splen-lavender day- that’s when you make it a splendid day with a touch of lavender;)
