THE FURRY BANDIT OF SABBATH SONG FARM
Early Riser
Bird Watcher
DoorMan (DoorCat??)
Quiche Thief (Again)

AKA: Mr. Big Paws

Mornings feel different on Sabbath Song Farm.

Before the sun rises, silver moon still shining,
the mist lays between
the rows of tree tops
that layer out
to where lavender skies
kiss blue ridge.
That’s the precise moment when Mr. Big Paws makes his entrance from the fields.
It also happens to be the time  the hummingbirds begin their  early morning rounds.
 Coincidence?
I think not.
Initially, Mr. Big Paws is quite the gentleman, waiting at the door.

Do not be taken in by this.
One nano second later,
he has assumed the “somebody better let me in or heads will roll” pose.
I can’t really blame him though.
Carolyn has fixed a Sweet Potato Quiche with Bacon,  fit for a king
and a Lime Curd Blackberry Italian Meringue Pie.
Life is good on the farm.
Especially if it happens to be Sabbath Song Farm
and
your name is Mr. Big Paws.

Please Note:  This is No. 8 in the “Catalicious Series” and has earned the prestigious EBSA award (Eddie Bill Seal of Approval).

Amazing & confident brushwork, Dreama! Soft and furry in places, deftly blocked in with abandon in others, really nice!!ReplyCancel

Wow, it’s gorgeous there. I love your kitty paintings, so fun to enlarge them and see all that wonderful brushwork. You should consider making a video of you painting and posting it here, I would love to see that, hint hint.ReplyCancel

That reminds me of an old 60’s Motown soul classic…’Mr. Big Paws…who do you think you are?’

You’ve really captured his purrr-sonality there (even though I’ve never met Mr. Big Paws in person, I’m pretty sure he’s just what I imagine him to be…sort of like my beloved Finn was).

So relieved that he returned! We all know, though, that cats love to wander and explore, but equally, they love their comfort.

Wonderful series of paintings, Dreama. Thanks, as always, for sharing.ReplyCancel
