This time last week I was packing like a nut, arguing with Eddie about who was gonna be left in charge while I was gone, and trying to find one article of clothing to pack that didn’t have cat hair on it.  (I know—everyone wishes they were me.)

After one of two engines wouldn’t start on the plane we were flying out of Kentucky on, and missing the connection in Atlanta, I was….are you ready for this?

UPGRADED TO FIRST CLASS!  Which roughly translates to things like…the bathrooms don’t reek, your food is not left on a tray in your lap for 2 hours, you get wine and lots of goodies –including hot washcloths to “freshen” yourself before your actually edible meal arrives, and best of all….seats that actually have a cushion for your butt and don’t fold your legs up like a clothespin for four hours.

I couldn’t wipe the grin off of my face 🙂

That, along with the fact that Eddie did a guest post for me, I feel like I have been flying pretty high 🙂  and was more than ready for my first workshop at Randy Higbee’s Gallery in Costa Mesa, CA.

Here are the gals that I was able to hang out with, tease, give free hugs and share lots of things about painting with:

Life is good.
Eddie is not. (see his first “How Not To” article here)

okay – it’s 3:20 am …. I see I left the “a” off of “Dreama” … blame your grandmother, or blame jetlag … I just returned from an adventure in Sicily …. now THAT’S a place you might hold a workshop!ReplyCancel

Funny – but I don’t see any San Francisco Bay Area faces in your workshop …. oh, it needs to be on your California schedule for 2015 … or we need to move your daughter UP to San Francisco. Dear Dream, I want you to know how your book continues to heal my friend who’s recovering from breast cancer surgery. She comments on how very often she opens your book to a random page and each time opens to a random page, and reads your words in a new way that inspires her healing. Your writings do so much more than inspire painting. Your words inspire life. Thank you.ReplyCancel

    First class upgrade!!!

    Wooooo-hoooo!

    You go, California Dreama!

That is so cool (it’s only happened to me once, and it was pretty brilliant, oh yes!)

But ahhhh…you gotta feel a wee bit bad for poor Eddie Bill. He’d have loved to have travelled first class, I’m sure. 🙂

Wonderful, uplifting video – all those happy faces on all those lovely artists’ faces having a brilliant time together. Looking forward to the next installment – thanks for sharing with us.ReplyCancel
