Risky Business/ But Will You Love Me Tomorrow??

I’m heading to Florida to teach.

Reason I left.

I know I am walking on the razor’s edge here of our friendship.

There is a very fine line ( albeit one that has been drawn in the sand so hopefully the next tide of good weather will wash away any feelings of RAGE  experienced by those now in the arctic deep freeze—especially whilst viewing the photos that follow…. 😉

(Silly Guilty Pleasures Confession:  How often does one get to use albeit and whilst in the same sentence??)

What I am hoping you will do is insert your chilly little self into the storyline of pics that follow   😉

Your Happy Feet

 You parked under that umbrella

You watching the sunset from your balmy perspective 🙂

I really hope this helps—if not I am going to feel really, REALLY guilty.

Nothing good can come of it.
It can result in certain parties (who shall remain faceless) engaging in bouts of stress eating….

things like calamari.

flatbreads…

and drinking.

Please keep in mind I AM here on a working trip.

(The first workshop of 2014 starts Wednesday 🙂 !!)

Otherwise, I’d be right there with you painting in my Snugee (blanket with sleeves) and sipping hot chocolate.
That’s how much I love you 🙂

Looks great Dreama, your right last night found me painting with in 10 feet of the wood stove! It was a warm 30 degrees when I checked on the horses for the night. It felt warm after experiencing -6 the other day. I think I am just about ready to change my profile picture back to something warm and cheerful. Bring some sun and warmth back north soon!

Oh how I wish I were in Florida with you! In Knoxville it is 2 degrees with a wind chill of -10!!! On the bright side it is a great day to stay inside and paint! Enjoy your workshop and please consider adding another workshop this year!

I don’t blame you one little teeny tiny bit, Dreama. I’m only a fan of the snow and cold when I’m inside a warm room, looking out the window and seeing Mother Nature do her beautiful winter thing. 🙂

I’d love to pack my bags right now and join you in Florida – all that decadence, all that fun, all that sunshine and warmth….heavenly!

Have a great time – as you and all the other artists always do – and bring back some warmer temperatures for all of us to share. It’s not cold enough here in Ireland to build a snowman, but I’d still trade in all this very, very wet and blustery and very grey January for some of what you’ve got going on there in Florida – definitely the place to be.

But then again, y’know what? Your blog posts and workshop photos always do something magical – they brighten up and warm up the coldest of climates, the dreariest of days. 🙂

Have a great time, all of you!ReplyCancel

Dreama, I love checking in on your blog, you always make me smile 🙂 As I sit here at the computer in my two pairs of wool socks, three sweaters and two pairs of thermal fleece pants, with a comfy muffler wrapped around my neck (it’s so hard to heat this old farmhouse with the wind whistling around and under the floorboards) I’m counting my blessings that here in north Louisiana it’s a balmy 22 degrees instead of the 3 that your phone shows in Paris! I’m vicariously warm enjoying the pics you shared today … thanks! Have a great workshop!ReplyCancel

Oh Dreama! I’m so happy for you! I don’t know which got me more excited..the sunny beach or that yummy food and bev! You go girl! Enjoy every second of it! I did get a new coat for Christmas and so I’m enjoying the opportunity to wear it here in freezing New Mexico. (Trying to make myself feel better…sniff sniff). Have a mojito for me! And bring on the Caribbean (Gulf Coast?) Blue! xoxoReplyCancel
