The Art of Lavender Sitting

“The Art of Lavender Sitting”
12 x 12in oil on museum quality panel

There are the ordinary, mundane things of life.
Then…. there are those things that are elevated to the level of art.
I think Lavender Sitting (especially when done under a canopy of roses) is right up there with the big stuff.

What say you?

P.S.  Feel free to nestle your toes in the grass, lean your head back on the chair and breathe into the lavender.  If you feel something silky falling on your face, it’s probably just a rose petal gliding on the breeze 🙂

In Other News:

I am in Chattanooga, TN for a few more days (workshop details coming soon!).  I have seen Rock City  (which is amazing) and eaten a funnel cake shortly before entering the”Fat Man’s Misery” portion of the tour (which was probably not a good plan now that I think about it;).

I have ordered some new fun watercolors to try on for Italy and journaling.  Do you realize we are only a couple of weeks away from… when in Rome doing as the Romans do???

This is your notice to get your supplies laid in for the armchair travel.

You will need:
A comfortable chair
Soft quilt
Water on side table
Waterproof Pen

Optional Items:
Cat friend  (dog may be substituted, just don’t tell Ed)
Favorite Wine Glass
Favorite Wine
Favorite Coffee Mug
Italian Blend Coffee (to balance out the wine consumption;)

We are going to have a “bellissimo” time;))!

Sooooo looking forward to a ‘bellisimo’ time in one of my favourite places in the world. I’ve got everything I need to bring along (including the cat friends) at the ready…and yes, definitely the coffee and the wine and the gelato, too.

Beautiful painting…and it is quite a fine art in itself, sitting amongst all the beautiful, aromatic, bliss-bringing lavender, yes. Thanks for taking me to Lavender Land, once again.ReplyCancel

Love the colors, the brush strokes, but am not an oil painter. Could this process be accomplished with acrylics?ReplyCancel
