I am new at this. Very new. I never thought I could paint because I can’t draw…therefore, I focused on photography instead and buy everyone else’s art! Then I took a one time painting session and was amazed and thrilled at what I managed to create! It was so exhilarating and exciting to see a landscape come to life; One from my poor attempt. My daughter loves Dreama’s paintings and so I have become a fan as well and when I saw this opportunity to learn to paint with such vibrancy, my inner self said: “Why Not!” So, here i am…it was a push on my retired budget, but I signed up and can’t wait to see what other hidden treasure lies just beneath the surface!!! Thank you Dreama for your wonderful works & for this.ReplyCancel

I love the sound of my brush as I paint on the canvas. I love the glide of colour inks on paper. I love the grating of oil pastels on the cardsheet and the delicate pencil strokes on a sheet of fine grained paper… Yes I draw and paint with all media.ReplyCancel

  • Patricia Ansert - January 26, 2017 - 10:35 am

My favorite part of painting is getting out of my head and getting away from what’s going on in life. I love starting off with burnt sienna and putting in my darks and wiping out the brights and toning the canvas and trying to think of what the composition is going to look like. It’s a moment anticipation and Hope and it makes me very happy.ReplyCancel

  • Pat Beaver - January 26, 2017 - 9:57 am

As an undergraduate art major, I had to mix pigments in my painting courses to get the colors that I wanted. Even with formulas, I could never quite get the colors desired. I really thought that I did not like painting. Once I saw Dreama’s beautiful work online & her first course offering, I jumped at the chance to try painting again. For me, painting is one of the only activities that fully engages my mind, body and spirit, blocking out the passage of time. I sometimes allow life to get in the way of painting, so I’m going to Provence (virtually) for permission to paint! Even with occasional breaks, I now know that I’ll always come back to painting. It’s like food for my soul & Dreama is one inspiring chef!ReplyCancel
