"Beautiful Simplicity" SOLD

“Beautiful Simplicity”
6 x 6in oil on museum quality panel
$200
There is a sweet roughness to clothes dried on breeze, bleached by sun.

Laundry that is beautiful in its absence of complexity

With all of life’s mysteries, this one we get

“Curl laundry over line, clip firmly with wooden pin

Let hang ’til dry”

Simply beautiful:))

I love the simplicity of acoustic guitar.  Michael Dowdle plays “A Simple Life”.
Savor the beauty of this day and this moment.

What IS it about clothes lines? I really want to paint one but then I remember being so embarrassed as a wee one when my mother would hang my undies on the line – I really, truly, thought the WHOLE town would see them – good grief. I digress, beautiful painting.ReplyCancel

I really like this one Dreama. The colors are lovely and the composition is great. A bit abstract.ReplyCancel

So beautiful! I always loved that about Europe, the laundry hanging out. Until I lived in Germany and my neighbor liked to hang hers in the nude, completely bare bunned, nude. Kept the neighborhood entertained, I guess:)ReplyCancel

I love this one, Dreama! And don’t forget (ahhh, I’m scanning as I write and I see Susan Roden – my twin, separated at birth) has said the same thing I was going to say – the smell of clothes dried ‘on the line’ is heavenly!ReplyCancel

Isn’t this the truth – and they smell so sweet! But never hang laundry in the Colorado Rockies during the winter – they freeze. I know first hand.
    Beautiful Dreama.ReplyCancel
