"For the Love of French Blue" SOLD

“For the Love of French Blue”
12 x 12in oil on museum quality panel
It is
with great joy
 that I painted France
 dressed up
in her favorite shade of blue
 with a flower tucked
 just so
 behind her ear.

Love it! Love it! Love it! Absolutely love this painting. My two favourite colours in the universe are blue and purple, and all shades and hues within those two colours. You’ve gotten the French blue ‘thing’ perfectly. So very beautiful. A French blue has always had this dream-like quality and feel to it, I’ve always felt. Looking at this painting, and those gorgeous, gorgeous blues (and all the rest of the colours that compliment the French blue so beautifully), I am in love…yet again.

The workshop sounds wonderful…as all of them always do whenever you share the photos and the fun with those of us who couldn’t be there. Well done to everyone who was there. Two cool things to do in Paris – a workshop with Dreama, and lunch at Giovanni’s.

    More France-inspired paintings, please! They’re all beautiful.ReplyCancel

THis has to be my favorite painting yet of the “French series”. WoW!!!!!! Oh yeah, WOW again! Thank you so much for sharing with us. Have a wonderful workshop and I am so looking forward to January in Florida, although France sure sounds tempting! I need to sell some paintings to afford that though!

Oh, I forgot to mention the envy I felt thinking of what a great workshop I’m missing!! One day I’ll make to one, maybe in Paris, KY, but I’ll be there. 🙂ReplyCancel

So light and happy, and my favorite shade of blue too. I might have some drops of French blood in me. Tres Jolie! 🙂ReplyCancel
