"Help Wanted" SOLD

“Help Wanted”
12 x 12in oil on museum quality panel
Well, if you wondered how long the “getting in touch with his feminine side” would last, let your wonderment stop here.
Eddie has taken to just cramming the flowers in anything, willy-nilly, and then calls for Phyllis to help “tweet” it.
I think he means tweak it, but…. does it really matter??
One giant sunflower.
One very small mouse.
Help Wanted.
Please Note:  This is No.24 in the “Eddie and Phyllis” Series.

I love the look on Eddie’s face as he watches Phyllis ‘tweeting’ the floral arrangement. I can pretty much hear Eddie saying, ‘Yeah…I could’ve done that, but I thought you were bored and needed something to do, so I thought I’d help you out’ and ‘Heheheh…no one’ll ever know it wasn’t me who arranged these flowers oh-so-beautifully, heheh.’

The painting is just a joy to take in, Dreama. I love the contrast between the vividness of the flowers themselves against the black and white of Eddie and Phyllis’ lovely dark grey/near black fur. And I love the sunlight streaming in through the window – so alive is this painting, and it brings such a smile to my face.

Really looking forward to your Italian getaway next week – not just for the postcards (of course, that’s part of the fun and the joy for you and for us), but just to see Italy through your eyes, in photos, and in words, and in sketches and paintings (and those postcards!).ReplyCancel
