"Monday in Italy" SOLD

 “Monday in Italy”
12 x 12in oil on museum quality panel
$550
Monday has long been tied to laundry day.
It can also be the day a workshop begins:))
In my case, it was both.
I “did the laundry” and it was the first day of the Atlanta workshop with fellow artist and friend, Leslie Saeta!
35 painters from all across the US,
Texas to Florida,
 Kansas to New York,
gathered in for 5 days of painting, motivation, marketing, eating and laughter:)!
Can I just tell you– there was an abundance of all of the above:))
Garry held his own , Dot’s were connected, and PHD’s abounded.
New friendships were made, and new (in) roads too;)

And I was not alone in my hanging of the laundry:)))
The first day of the workshop yielded some fine paintings!
Then came the dinners…
Smoked salmon, grilled chicken, great salads, lasagnas, blueberry cobblers and of course we nibbled on something chocolate …we had to celebrate Valentine’s Day properly;))!

Relaxing afer dinner conversations drew everyone closer together, as stories of where we had been and where we hoped to go with our art flowed.

Too much to cover in just one blog post, so stay tuned for the final episode of Atlanta 2012, complete with smiling faces of all the great artists that attended!!
P.S.  Pasadena, CA Workshop/2012  with Leslie and myself has space in it for you!  Read  about the upcoming 5 Day Oil Painting workshop by clicking here.

    Hi Dreama,
Once again my heart is glowing as fond memories return to me, I am drawn to the open door to the blue that lies beyond it…….Maybe the garden is full of love and flowers, maybe the smell of warm air and home baking fills the air!!!!!!
This is where your pictures take me to, I can get lost in them and that is the way it should be…..
Thank you for making me feel that way:))))ReplyCancel

I love this painting, Dreama. I love the colours, and I love the feeling of loving every moment of your life and being mindful in each moment – even when doing the laundry or the dishes. Every moment is precious. Every moment is special in its own unique way.

The workshop looks so brilliant. How I wish I could attend just one (but attending more would be better!). It looks like every single artist there had a fantsatic, wonderful, fun time – in Ireland, that’s called ‘having great craic.’

Even though I can’t be at any of them because of living so far away (unless I hit the jackpot in the Lottery one day and can just hop on a plane and take part in one), through these photos of all these lovely people, and all their wonderful paintings, I am there…sorta…kinda…just by the feeling and the great vibe these photos send out.

    Thanks for sharing, as always.ReplyCancel
