ONE THING

You’re busy.  I’m busy.  We’re all collectively busy!

I get that.

My intention for us in November is to take a moment, one moment, to think on the one thing we are grateful for on that particular day.

That’s it.

If you do nothing else, you’ve gotten the most important part of the Gratitude Adventure.

I found when I did a similar thing a couple of years ago for each day in November, it enriched my moments, my life.  Helped me to be more aware.  I caught myself actively looking for the good things in my life, instead of unconsciously looking for what was missing.

I admit, I am dangling a few carrots in front of you, bribes so to speak—in order to get you to take an extra step and share that gratitude moment in the comment portion of my blog.

My reason?  I have an uncanny feeling that we are all going to benefit by sharing these moments of gratitude with each other.  1 + 1 might equal 10 kind of thing.

The other part of it for me is to simply share what I can. Books, prints, collected writings, calendars, tote bags, journals and a few big surprises —whatever I have from my cupboard to say thank you, I appreciate you, that I love hearing from you.

The adventure starts tomorrow.

Big Hugs!
Dreama

Hi Dreama, Today, being the 1st day of November, the thing I am most thankful for is that you are doing this wonderful “Gratitude Adventure”. We all are so busy with everyday things, that we forget how lucky we are and how many things, in just one day, that we can be thankful for.ReplyCancel

I am grateful that we have only lost power thru Hurricane Sandy and it will eventually come back. I still have a roof over my head.

I love this idea Dreama. 🙂 A few years ago I did the same thing, right after my third son was born. I felt so much love and happiness for this sweet new little life, but there was also what felt like a crushing darkness just waiting for me to succumb to. By keeping track of the good in my life every day I pushed that darkness away and now I can look back on that time in my life with my last baby and see it for the sweet and amazing experience that it was. And I think the key to that was having a thankful heart and attitude. So, I’m all in with you Dreama. I love your art, and your posts, you are a major source of inspiration for me. Just thought you should know. 🙂ReplyCancel

Wow Crystal. That’s a real testament to the magic that can happen. Thanks so much for sharing here so that all of us get that confirmation again of what an important role gratitude plays in our life.
And thanks for the nice words:))ReplyCancel

At this moment, and today being Hallowe’en, just coming back home from a walk today at a nearby lake (Lough Talt), and experiencing what I call ‘natural magic,’ in the form of all the gorgeous autumnal colours of the leaves in the trees and those that are on the ground, the calm and gentle water of the lake, and the magestic mountain that protectively presides over the lake and all of nature there.

And experiencing all that with the love of my life, my soul mate, my best friend – my hubby.ReplyCancel
