"Street Dance" SOLD

“Street Dance”
8 x 8in oil on museum quality panel
A few years ago while cruising the streets of Santa Monica, I had the opportunity to have a session with a cat physic.
I so wanted to do it— I could just hear myself, years later, in polite conversation , dropping that into the mix,
“Well, you know that’s exactly what my cat physic told me  would happen.”  I could see how it could be useful for so many things…
Unfortunately, I hesitated just long enough to miss the opportunity.  I have regretted it since.
There aren’t cat physics on every corner.  At least not in Kentucky.
And now you are probably wondering, what’s that have to do with a painting called “Street Dance”.
Absolutely nothing except just seizing the moments of life–like a spontaneous street dance:))!
Now about  the painting–confetti strewn color makes me think of a street dance.  No need for special party shoes, the right floor, or a house band.  Just move to the beat of life!
To quote one of my favorite people, author Martha Beck “So you think you can’t dance?  Who cares??”
Do a street dance today in the spirit of Martha’s son, Adam.

Just to clear things up on the cat physic–it was a cat doing the readings. Not a pet physic, but a cat dressed for the part–hence my remorse, not an experience easily duplicated:))…
I had told Eddie about it and he actually set up shop for awhile as “Edward the Mentalist” with a hook line of..TELL EDWARD YOUR TROUBLES”

Thanks for the love on the painting and video–gotta go dance in the street now:)ReplyCancel

So, is that someone who tells cats their future, or a cat who reads palms? 😉
Beautiful, Dreama! both the painting AND the video. I love your colors, and those happy confetti brushstrokes. I agree … dance for joy whenever you can!ReplyCancel

I’ll be dancing in downtown Beaufort on Saturday during The Taste of Beaufort in the Waterfront Park. This is a lovely painting, and the show at noon today was so informative.ReplyCancel
