“It looks like the perfect vacation spot dear.” You can just hear the bird conversation now, what to pack, have the kids got their stuff together (no, of course not, bird kids are no different than people kids…). Then the “are we there yet???” stuff starts when they’ve scarcely flown off the tree limb. But at long last, after a long year of weathering the storms, shopping for worms for the kids, singing day in, day out, even when you were sure no one was listening—VACATION!!!

Life is good–especially in birdville.

(Clematis compliments of the front yard, bird house by Wallyworld)

*Please note my apologies if you are expecting a heavy dissertation on this painting. It is only a 6 x 6 and this is what spending too much time alone in the studio can do……
**Spellcheck kicked out birdville and Wallyworld—am I the only one that thought they were real words?????

    they are real words!
and i’m sure bird parents get after their bird kids about not picking up their stuff in the nest, or messing the nest up- you know how we kids are.
and if i was a bird, i would love to chill out in this hut, it’s perfect!
oh, but i should be commenting on the painting.
good job, love the color…uhhh, nice composition….?
seriously, i do really love the color. and this painting makes me wonder if the birds that live in this house know how cute it is, or is it just shelter to them…
ok, on to the next painting.

I LOVE birdhouses. I have them EVERYWHERE in my home. They are a picture of God’s provision and his grace… For his eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me. Beautiful!!!!!!!ReplyCancel
