Looking at this beautiful painting on this extremely blustery and cold autumn afternoon here in the west of Ireland, I can easily (and very happily) transport myself to this lovely village market, loading up my handmade wicker basket with all the fruits and veg and breads I’ll need for tonight’s dinner and tomorrow’s breakfast and lunch, and then spending the rest of the afternoon meeting friends, chatting with them, laughing, taking in the glorious sunshine and warmth, content with life and the natural beauty that is all around me.

This is what I see and how I feel when I look at this painting. All the glorious and vivid colours, the happiness, the warmth, the beauty. Especially the happiness.

Thank you so much for this, Dreama, and for brightening up an otherwise very grey and cold day. One day, I hope to buy either this one or a similar themed painting. It truly is stunning.ReplyCancel
