"To the Oscars and Beyond…."

30 x 24, oil on canvas panel
Just when you thought it was safe to visit my blog. …(can you hear the Jaws music playing?)….life as you know it, will never be the same. Because..

I am now the proud owner of a Flip video camera. I have always wanted to be in the movies and now thanks to modern technology and 200 bucks…..your worst nightmare has happened. You now will have a voice in your head to match what you have long suspected….they will let anyone have a blog. Even me.

I profusely apologize in advance for the nasal, twangy, mountain voice. I know you probably expected something different. After all, if you have read much about me, you know I am from Paris. You should have read the whole thing. It’s Paris……Kentucky.

Tomorrow I will post the winner of the February painting give-a-way…:) and a new painting.

So here for your viewing pleasure, live from my office in Tuscany….

Information Video about my Upcoming Art Business/Motivational Workshop (I had been calling it Dreamatology–The Art of Thinking Like Dreama—-but it seemed to be scaring people off…go figure!)

Loved your video. I didn’t think you had a twangy, nasal sound but I’m southern too. We speak the same language. Sorry I can’t do the workshop but I say…record it, burn a cd, package it & sell it. I’d buy one. Good luck.ReplyCancel

And who was your Oscar dress designer Dreama? I thought I saw you on the gala last night!
Kidding aside, you amaze me and your video and marketing workshop is a gem. Know you will excel with wonderful results! Can’t wait to hear about it next month.ReplyCancel

This is absolutely beautiful, Dreama! I love it. Wonderful video too – I sure wish I could attend your workshop, sounds like it will be full of valuable information, but I live California – oh well…
And by the way, you have a very nice voice.ReplyCancel

Thanks so much for the feedback. I have been walking around all day scheming of what I will wear to the Oscars next year..:) Seriously, it is the wonderful part of online family, that we do get responses to our ideas, work, dreams, …it’s wonderful. I wish I could have every one of you in my group—it is hard to tell what would happen…that much positive energy!!!!!ReplyCancel

The twangy nasal aside :)I must say, “well done, well said, bravo!”. Your video itself was inspirational in getting artists to think about where they are now and where they want to go with their work. Anybody who can make it to your workshop must go! When I first came upon your work on line, I somehow knew you were destined for wonderful things, not only in your painting, but in how you want to share your knowledge and success with others. I would give you an Oscar for sure!ReplyCancel

What a glorious image to wake up to this morning! I absolutely love it, and it is all the more special because of the name, as our sister is Joy! I’m going to send her the link to your blog so you can impress the third McClanahan sister as you already have Lynda (Gregory) and me. May you always paint in sunshine ~
