"A Sunny Morn in Tuscany" SOLD

“A Sunny Morn in Tuscany”
12 x 12in oil on museum quality panel

There is a sacred silence in the way the sun quietly starts our days.  Dusting gold on rims of flowers,  buildings  shaped from the earth, and at last, lingering on our face, warming it with the promise of the hope of a new day.  The sun certainly has its work cut out for it in Italy–it must bend, slide under, and glide around narrow passes to spill its joy onto the streets.  But it does it every day, faithfully.

There happens to be a red roadster parked just down the street.  It’s a beautiful day to grab a friend, roll down the windows and take off  like you haven’t a care in the world.  Make the most of this amazing life of yours–just this one day–out of all the thousands you will live…

I recently discovered Dreama’s art and this one, ”a sunny morn in Tuscany” I believe is one of her best works.
Does anyone know why a painting of a scene is far more appealing than a photo of the same scene?
I am becoming a ”Dreama art” addict, is there a treatment?ReplyCancel

Beautiful Dreama! I remember streets like this, but you capture more in your paintings. I feel that I am being drawn into the scene and now I am a part of it. As you say, taking off in an open roadster traveling on the tiny roads through olive groves and vineyards. Thank you!ReplyCancel

I love you, Dreama! No, we’ve never met…but you always brighten my day and today I especially value the beautiful image and the inspiring reminder of just what a gift this life is. I also appreciate your Artists Helping Artists radio show podcast and I should have said something long ago. Yesterday I was listening to one of the past shows on my iPod. You and Leslie were talking about making comments on blogs and how important that is to the blogger who has taken time from her one “wild and precious life” (to quote the poet Mary Oliver) to entertain, educate and inform…so, here I am, COMMENTING! Expect to “see” me here often. I also got great value from the discussion about updating ones website. If you check out mine you will see I am moving all the “furniture” around in that little website and BIG improvements are afoot! I appreciate you and all you do and I send big balls of psychic golden light to you!ReplyCancel
