During the Creative Process
Focus and Loving What We Love
Can’t always explain why we love what we love. Doesn’t really matter I suppose—the why of it I mean. The love is the important part, the why is just an afterthought.
I love blue 🙂
How ’bout you?
Now onto something that’s been on my mind…..
Focus.
The ocean, Emerson and I had a real meeting of the minds. (See post).
I have some dreams that need my full attention and I know the time is right for me to do the work.
I am already taking pics, recording thoughts and generally keeping a record so that when I do share, you will know you have been with me each step of the way.
You know how much I speak to you about following your heart. Getting quiet and listening, really listening—and THEN taking action.
Well, this is me….taking action.
To say I am excited would be a huge understatement.
You will keep seeing me online and in your inbox—I will be doing some “Best of Dreama” posts, pulling some of my favorite writings from the past 6 years and putting them in the light again. And there will be always be my latest thoughts as well—I’m just going to mix it up a bit to give me more time and energy to get my work done.
With Big Affectionate Hugs,

P.S. If you’d like to paint with me, there are openings in my July workshops (click here for details)
Okay what I love about you and your posts – compared to many other artists that I follow – you are not caught up in yourself. So many think they are just doing self-promotion, but in the way they share and come across, they are so self centered and way too full of themselves. YOU on the other hand have no need for that – you’re just a generous spirit sharing your art with a healthy amount of inspiration to lift and motivate. Thank you for the refreshing blog posts…without all the ego.
ps – Oh yeah…I nearly forgot. I love blue, too. And purples. Lots and lots of blues and purples and all shades of them in between. This painting has got all that goin’ on…and then some. 🙂
You’ve more than piqued my curiosity, Dreama. I’m very excited and happy for you, and can’t wait for the big ‘reveal’, so to speak.
I’m in that zone, too – the journey that begins with the first step to new territory, creatively and in all sorts of other ways.
You, your thoughts and words, and your beauty-filled creative expressions have inspired me and motivated me over these past five years…and counting.
Looking forward to all you want to share with us. Have a truly beautiful weekend. 🙂
Dreama…..How exciting! I look forward to seeing where your heart is taking you.
Hi Dreama: I can’t wait to see what you are up to!!
In the midst of this process myself. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!!! Best, DA
Hello, “I love your work”, I live in Northern California and was wondering if you’ll be coming in this direction ever? Do you have a 2016 calendar yet, as your classes are really hard to get into. I’d love to take a glance and sign up pay in advance to get in. Thanks for sharing your wealth and beauty of your work. If you get any cancelation for your Lexington class (although I’d have to know in advance that too is a class I’d love to take part of. Thank you
