During the creative process – your beautiful space.
1. If no one ever saw anything you created, would you still create? 2. Are you letting your heart have what it really, really wants? Believe it or not, the answers for these two questions are very connected. The first question was posed to me many years ago and at the time it was very disquieting to me. The exact question was, ‘If no one ever saw any painting you ever did…would you still paint?’ and although that person was confident of their own answer, I was silent on the matter.
Light is the greatest unnoticed force of transfiguration in the world: it literally alters everything it touches and through colour dresses nature to delight, befriend, inspire and shelter us. ~John O’Donohue
I paint. I write. I teach. Sometimes I nap 🙂
Eddie in France?? He is a cat of international mystery. According to Eddie he’s the James Bond of cats. Pussy galore and Agent 009 all rolled into one—cool, handsome, dangerous— with a “license to kill”.
These little girls were imported to Kentucky from who knows where—there surely aren’t any tulips poking their heads out around here 😉 I photographed them and then painted them while I was in Florida. Now here they are with “eyes” from around the world having a look at them. Wouldn’t their Momma be proud?
Author Ernest Hemingway called Key West home for awhile. Ernest had a few cats. Like 40, give or take a few 😉
It seems that the lower one sinks the fewer friends (and family) you will find. Particularly when it involves sinking to the southern most tip of Florida when others are freezing their %^$#’s off.
When the going gets tough, the tough head further south…
I love the fall for a lot reasons, one of them being that extra 60 minutes that gets tossed our way…which got me to thinking of all things one could do with 60 bonus minutes.
It really changes the view!!
