Future – You are the art.
Why does it feel like time is whizzing by? And is there a way to slow things down?
What do we really want? Not the ‘auto-pilot’ version of life, but what are those things, people, places, doings that make us feel vibrantly ALIVE?
Unnecessary baggage impedes the ability to enjoy the present which is all we ever have…not to mention the effects on our creativity!
The dictionary defines a quest as an act of seeking. I have found that in my questing, joy and wonder and awe are present. Not defined answers (which would put an end to the quest) but an unfoldment. More passions, more delights, more things to wonder after. I kind of like that. In fact, I am in love with the quest and the measure less life. Maybe the plan is to not have a plan—but to be purely present and alive and spontaneous. So maybe I bought more of the new watercolors than I needed. Who’s measuring??? (And maybe I might give one away in my next post! You know you want one.) Hope you are curious, hope you feel your creativity playing hide ‘n’ seek with you. Enjoy the quest. Measure less Enjoy more
Creative inspiration arises out those times when we take time to fill our well instead of drinking from it.
Remember why it was that you became an artist. All the JOY, the smiles, the passion of when you first began to create emanated from somewhere within you.
It is our job to show up and let what’s intended to Be flow through us.
Little things leave a trail of peace. This watercolor in my journal was one of those irresistible moments that beckoned me to trace its beauty with the rhythm of a line. A tiny moment that expanded itself and grew large. My coffee cooled and my dessert waited.
Let’s seek advice today From our cats, our dogs and our plants Observing their choices, their way of being in the world. There’s much to learn.
