Immersion
Immersion is sweet.
Be it a book, a painting, or in this case… A Carlos.
Carlos was one of the people that stole my heart while I was in Tuscany.
Kindest eyes ever! Olive grower and puppet maker (as in Pinocchio style carved to look like Carlos himself).
I had a chance to see his world, the things he loved, what his passions were–and let me say, Italians are passionate about everything!
Got to love that!
I’ve been working on my next online course, Timeless Tuscany (another type of immersion, coming in January).
Built over two summers, I visited Carlos both times which meant I was able to take him a small photo book from our first visit together. He was so genuinely touched that it squeezed my heart!
The thing about immersion is it can only mean one thing. You are actually in the present moment! You aren’t multi-tasking, your mind isn’t racing ahead to where you need to be next and you are not handling yesterday’s conversations in your mind.
You are front and center for YOUR LIFE.
Which is where, curiously enough, all the magic happens 😉
Today, make it a point to get yourself totally immersed in something that you love–and see how much you learn about you!

Today I was immersed in cooking and baking with apples from our orchard – chunky applesauce and apple pie dusted with cinnamon and sugar. I would post a picture, if I could. Still waiting for the pie to cool so we can eat it. Although I’m not able to join you in Italy at this time, I always enjoy your posts. Thank you!
Hi Dreama, while I have always wanted to take one of your journeys, alas it just isn’t in the cards for me right now yet I always follow your adventures. I immerse myself in my pottery classes right here at home. Strictly a novice, I find myself transported for 3-5 hours one day a week at my classes. And every time I look at one of my pieces, I am filled with wonder that I created that as it reminds me of how tranquil I felt when making it.

Entering this course is certainly one of the best treats I ever gave myself!
Cooking and photography are some of the things I love doing, and spending time outdoors taking pictures of flowers is when I immerse myself, forgetting about everything…. just focusing on the beauty of creation, the purity of nature.

I have taken the time to paint every day while here in Frisanco, Italy. You might say I have been totally immersed in my work. I have compared previous paintings I’ve done while visiting this village to what I am accomplishing now. It is an 80% turn around!!!! Thanks to you and your wonderful teachings on just being happy with yourself and letting the real you immerse!!! Not allowing fear in your life and being confident with each stroke you produce. I never thought I would become an artist with any skill, but now I am finding each painting I do, so much fun and exciting with my own kind of flare.
I will be enrolling in your new course from Italy. Can’t wait. Keep up the great paintings and work. You are the best ever!!!
