“Longhouse Laundry Day”
Watercolor
If video doesn’t appear, just click here:))
And one more image for your watercolor journal.
(The photos I share here, of our time in France, are to be used as reference for doing watercolors for your personal journals or postcards only. I please ask that they are used soley for that purpose:-)
It has been a sweet, wonderful time together.
I have truly loved sharing this trip with you.
You’ve never been far from my mind when looking at all the beauty on ancient buildings or tasting a new food
making poppy dolls
in the poppy fields:))
or ending the day with a snuggle from Loki 🙂
Both life and art are beautiful and always made more so by the sharing of them 🙂
I have read every note sent, every comment left– and savored them all. We make a great team, you and I.
Knowing that it mattered to you made it important for me to stay up a little later, rise a little earlier and yes sometimes….EAT a little more chocolat …all because I knew you’d want me to:)
Our trip in France is over for the moment. Hope it settles in your heart and mind like a good piece of chocolat melting on the tongue.
Rich, smooth and memorable:)
Keep your watercolor journal open and your colors wet as a way to savor the moments of this one wild and precious life you have been given:))
A very special post is coming this week. On Wednesday I will have lots of behind the scenes photos of the times and artists who joined me for the Paint France with Dreama/ 2013. Lots of smiles, lots of paintings, lots of scarfs (but that’s a whole other story;). (Postcard winners will be announced then too!)
And no surprise here….we are going back! The dates have already been set for next year in France. Invitations are going out this Saturday. (If you’d like to head to France with me next year, just send an email to info@DreamaTollePerry.com)
The fun just never ends. Chocolate, Siamese cats, poppies and painting. I can’t imagine anything beter. Thanks for sharing !!!!
Love those poppy dolls!
Wish I could go, but it just isn’t in the cards. Guess I’ll have to settle for three days in Costa Mesa next year. 🙂
Thank you for sharing your amazing pictures with us. I am sure you had a wonderful time painting like crazy and we enjoyed being a part of it.
Thanks for all your wonderful blogs and videos from France! So inspiring!! I felt like I was there!
Thank you for sharing your trip to France – Loki looks a lot like a kitten I used to own, complete with playful snuggling 🙂 I will be filling my sketchbook with all things French for the coming weeks.
Dreama, I have so enjoyed reading your posts from France and watching your videos. What a wonderful time you have provided for all your participants. I just wish I’d been along too! 🙂 Bon jour!
I’m so curious if you spoke with the man who was at the gate at the end of the video. Was he the owner of the beautiful garden? The caretaker? A visiting uncle? A tourist? I loved the mystery of him. Gayle
Can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures! Loki has beautiful blue eyes.
Again, thank you for sharing your trip to France. I have loved your comments, photos and videos and have enjoyed sketching some of your France scenes. A lovely trip.
Qué parte de Francia es?
Dit moi le nom de la ville s’il vous plaít…….
Some day I will get to France with my watercolours! Your trip was so inspirational. Loki will miss you! Safe trip home.
I’ve loved every minute of ‘our’ trip to France, and I’m kinda sad to be leaving…but then again, there’s always next year, right? Thank you for every photograph, every video diary entry, every beautiful watercolour journal page you shared with us, every carte postalle you’re also generously sharing with us, for all the chocolat, the beautiful streets, markets, doorways, windowsills, aromatic and luscious lavender fields, and of course, sharing Loki with us. So irresistibly adorable.
You’re right, and I was quite moved – beauty, in all its forms, is everywhere and all around us. All we need do is open our eyes and our hearts and see and feel it connecting with us.
Have a lovely and safe journey back home, and we look forward to more photos from your time there, and more memories and anecdotes and fun. The Eds will be so happy to see you come through your front door – I’m sure they’ve missed you (and of course want to see what gifts you’ve brought back home for them).
Such a lovely end to our fun trip to France! Thanks for the last lovely video! So glad you will keep posting from the good ole’ US of A!!! It’s not over! Just back to home sweet home! I look forward to all the future posts wherever they may come from! xoxo
Watercolor: who knew laundry could be scenic? Just lovely. Thanks for reminding us that beauty is all around us, especially in the details – like that angel atop the blue doors and in the gorgeous eyes of little Lodi.
Oh I want that purr baby Loki to give me a little love bite too! Such a beautiful photo of the two of you……the wonders of nature. Love the old stone fence with flowers trailing down the sides. Hope you have a safe trip home =^..^=
Wow! So many things to paint! Where do I begin?
Thank you thank ou,
Bonjour Dreama!
Love the 2nd photo of u and Lodi where he’s giving u a farewell “love bite”.
What a wonderful trip! You have inspired me to get out my travel photos, view them with a new eye and pick out some to paint. I can’t decide which I love the most, your vibrant oils or your loose, fun watercolor journal. You definitely have a new fan. Thanks sooooo much for sharing your art and your trip! One last flaky, buttery croissant for me, please!
the kitten is adorable..I have a grown up cat like that… he really looks like he is a busy guy.
