During the Creative Process
Practice, Practice
What if we were to practice, every day, something that we desired to become really good at doing?
And what if that practice was one of those things that when done, actually multiplied, like an investment of sorts, in our lives?
What if it was free, didn’t take much time and could be done anywhere, anytime of the day?
What if doing it had the power to shape us in powerful, marvelous ways?
What if it was so simple a child could do it?
Wondering what this magical thing might be?
It’s one you know well…
GRATITUDE
Amazing abundance in life is held within this one single practice.
I’ve got a simple task for you (I’ve been doing it the past couple of weeks so I am doing my best to tempt you into joining me).
Today, grab some paper and in your most beautiful handwriting, put down what you see around you in this moment that you are grateful for.
Make a practice of it for the next few days.
Notice what you notice–this won’t be hard.
It is as writer Wayne Dyer said, ‘If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.’
Practice, practice.
Note: And now a little gratitude giveaway for some of the best folks on the planet!
It’s a handmade journal from Italy, one of my favorites for some of my favorite folks ever (enter below). And speaking of Italy, my next online adventure course is all about just that–to learn more, click here!

Grateful for every new day.
Lovely Lovely Lovely……
Gratitude changes my attitude and writing them down helps me too remember..
I always think I will remember this for sure and writing them down is the way to make sure that I remember them!
What a nice reminder that there are so many simple things to be grateful for.
Each day when I awake I say this prayer. And, just so it’s not rote, I picture each of these things in my minds eyes,
“Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for this Day, Thank you for my Life, Thank you for my Family and Thank you for this Comfy Bed in which I lay. AMEN”
This always starts my day off in a Perfect way.
Of course the list is very long and I could add one million things, and do throughout the day. Like hot water, I just love hot water. And on and on…….
I am grateful everyday that I calmed my inner doubts and started painting lessons at age 60. I paint nearly every day and it fills my soul.
My studio.
Dreama, I try every day to thank God for all he has given me and my family. The things I know about and those I do not.Expressing gratitude makes me even more aware of things to add to my list!

I am Oh, so grateful for…. technology, internet and my computer!! Without them I would not have been able to share in this wonderful experience!
What a beautiful journal.
Thank you for that… I have been keeping a gratitude journal for years so I was surprised to feel humbled, still by the experience. I had only jotted down two things and I felt a sense of welcome…lifted, joyful and excited…WOW! Thank you again for the reminder to take pause and ponder to recognize the gifts all around us.
Thanks for all your beautiful inspiration!
It truly is amazing just how many things you can find to be grateful for at any moment! Love your entire post on this! Something so powerful, yet so easy!!! xxxooo
Gratitude for the freedom, the peaceful country I am born ! Thanks to you Dreama! and your beautiful peaceful paintings and writings!
I practice gratitude every day. Remembering what I am grateful for first thing after reading my daily devotional Bible. Even when we hurt, I look to see what I can be grateful for. Always there is something to be grateful for in every situation, no matter how bleak. Thank you Dreama for the beauty you send us in your emails.
I needed this reminder today as life has felt heavy and dark from the news to friends who are in critical condition and when I read this reminder I saw the truth of this. We can only keep our lamp burning in our little corner of space by being grateful for all God has done. One day at a time! Thank you for shining your light on me!!
I am grateful for the gift of life and family.
I luv your musings 💙
