I Met Emerson on the Beach…BEST DAY EVER!
You never know who you’ll meet on the beach, when the water if flowing and the mind is open 🙂
Write it on your heart”, he says, “that everyday is the best day of the year.”
Ralph speaks again, “He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.”
I had never thought for a moment that just any old day could be the best day of the year.
That if one day was amazing that the very next day could be another “best” day ever.
(I have noticed though how my great-niece Alivia refers to many things in her life as the best ever. The best cake ever, the best birthday ever, the best Dad and Mom ever, the best cat ever, the best Aunt ever (a personal favorite of mine ;-). )
I think I was in the mind set that I had to withhold that kind of thinking—to do a mental tallying– and that if this was that good then something really good couldn’t come along again right away.
It was how things worked. One could only have a few best days ever in their life time. Like god parses them out—“No, you had a best day two years ago, you’re gonna have to wait awhile longer before you can have another.”
Then Emerson tells me to write it on my heart that everyday is the best day —as though maybe I have something to do with how the day proceeds.
So I am adopting this mindset as I move forward.
I like how it feels when I say it.
I think Emerson wanted you to know too or else you wouldn’t be reading this today 🙂
Today is YOUR BEST DAY EVER
(write this on your heart!)
P.S. Hope you enjoyed this because it is, of course, my best painting, my best video, AND my best blog post ever.
Aloha from Hawaii,
The very best inspirational message I’ve heard today. Mahalo!
Aloha,
Ginger
Dreama, when I looked at the ocean scene, I immediately saw the heart in the clouds You are so right that every day can be the best day ever!
Every day is indeed a wonderful gift to unwrap and enjoy! So many others are in pain everyday of their lives. I often think something must be wrong with me. NEVER. Thanks for posting. You spread such sunshine!

Well……………today is my best day EVER! What a thought! It is along the same vein of 7th Day Adventist quote, “Every day in every day I am feeling better and better”. (at least that is my recollection) Another positive way to start the day!
