During the Creative Process
Under THE Tuscan Sun
Detail 🙂
This very petite watercolor comes with it’s own handmade paper envelope (procured from the same place as the Fabriano journal:)
It is approx 3 x 4″ and is the giveaway for today! (See Below)
It’s morning here in Cortona and I thought it was time to share a bit with you via video 😛
And some more pics to feed the spirit.
A room with a view. Â What every soul needs…
Eddie here
my undercover trip is well under way and I don’t think the woman has noticed anything.  there was that unfortunate run in at the shop but I fooled her with my blank stare and mock ignorance of the english tongue.  here’s the latest from cortuna.
2015/Italy MIGHT be in the works.
the above chairs MIGHT be the ones we sit in at the place where we MIGHT stay
but you didn’t hear this from meow. Â And what’s the italian word for catnip anyway? Â mine was confiscated at the airport—i am certain the security guys are in the back somewhere rolling in it–foul little beasts that they are. Â now, off to read under the tuscat sun.
Eddie over and out.
And  a little house in the country.
In the Chianti region of Tuscany, Italy.
Everyone needs a  castle… 😉
SO MANY PLACES Â to sit and have an espresso or some Chianti wine.
Today, YOU have to be the one to pick….decisions, decisions—I can’t take the pressure any more:))!
If you’d like to paint along with me….here’s the spot I did today’s postcard from!
And this is where I assume the book got it’s name.
Truly, under THE Tuscan sun all is well:)
I hope your heart rests happily in this amazing sunset over Tuscany.
(Please note: The photos I share here of our time in Italy are to be used as reference for doing watercolors for personal journals or postcards only. I please ask that they are used soley for that purpose:-)

Gorgeous pictures! And I loved your little ‘tour’ of a Cortona Sunday morning. It’s the next best thing to being there.
I’ve never been there but watching your video gives me a little glimpse into the beautiful place it is! And their alleyways are certainly prettier than what we have here! Enjoy!
Dreama, one day I will be with you in Tuscany or elsewhere….as a watercolor artist, I am loving the cards! And, that Ed is one sneaky cat!
So beautiful and thanks again for sharing.
Like seeing the photo and then the notecard produced from it
plus your videos and the cat stories! Like it all!
Thanks for taking us with you…it brightens my day!
I am envious but happy for your everyday journey that takes in so many lovely places.
Hum….that dessert could have been figs, cheese and honey…not dates. My bad!
So awesome to hear from everyone—together in Tuscany in spirit!!! Tomorrow we head to Venice 😛
Hugs from Tuscany!
Dreama
LOVING all the pictures and video! PLEASE keep them coming, the sunsets are stunning. Am enjoying dreaming through the trip with you!
Oh boy! I enjoyed Cortona. In fact, my photo you see to the left was taken in the garden of an old monastery. Your video was a joy to watch and remember time spent there exploring. The restaurants were always good. Try the Ribollita (vegetable and bread soup) and the date, cheese, and honey combo dessert if you see it on the menu. Happy travels.
P.S. I just don’t do Pinterest, and I feel cheated all the time because I can’t access it and get points.
I would so much love to receive this beautiful tiny painting you did of that site in Italy. Please pick me!
Beautiful. Inspired to get out my sketchbook

I love that cafe – and that watercolour you did of it just brought a huge smile to my face. Bellisismo. Oh…to have a pastry and espresso there…or perhaps some wine…
Yes…all this most definitely confirms and re-affirms to me why I love Italy so very much. So absolutely beautiful, on so many levels. I yearn to return there. And yeah, 2015 in Tuscany would be a wonderful place to have a workshop. Or Venezia. Just sayin’…
Couldn’t stop giggling while reading Undercover Agent Eddie’s take on it all. 007 is nowhere in this fella’s league – Eddie is ‘The Spy Who Meowed at Me.’ 🙂
Thanks for this and all that you continually share with us, Dreama.
