The Romance of Paris
Falling in love happens in a moment, with a touch, one lingering glance at a time. Paris has that effect on one.
I quickly realized that after this
That I simply couldn’t convey the entire love story.
I’d just have to make a movie 😉
So here it is – To view video on youtube, click here.
This is the silk scarf I picked up in Paris—artwork by Kadinsky—don’t you love the colors!!
And one last piece of France for you—a little music romance 🙂
Thanks ever so much for traveling along with me to France—I have LOVED having you with me 🙂 !!
My next post will include the smiling faces of the newest additions to the Purple Beret Gang and will give you a glimpse of what they got into while hanging out in the south of France!!
Dreama, In my dreams I am with you whenever you travel to Paris and beyond. Perhaps one day I can join you! In the meantime, blessings, my friend, to
the one who knows herself and is true to the same. Blake
Narrow streets filled with unexpected surprises at every turn, a lush countryside, living your dream and making treasured memories.
Thank you so very very very much, Dreama, for taking us all along with you on this beautiful and wonderful French holiday. I needed this holiday so very much – every post, every postcard, every watercolour sketch, every photo, every video, and all your words made me smile and brought me so much joy.
I’d love the scarf, yes, especially as it’s from you and it’s from beautiful Paris.
What I’m reminded of most whenever I think of France is the beautiful few days my hubby and I spent there, quite a few years ago now…walking along the Seine, having chocolat and croissants and coffee in a very old cafe near our hotel, trying our best to speak French wherever we went (and the locals looking like they were enjoying our attempts but being polite enough not to laugh or roll their eyes while we were doing that), enjoying a leisurely lunch of a framage baguette and coffee while sitting on a park bench at the Champs Elysees seeing and ‘chatting with’ many cats and kittens (loved that!) and I also remember humming the beautiful ‘Down in the Seine’ and ‘A Paris Match’ by The Style Council to myself more than once or twice while we were there.
Thank you again, Dreama, for bringing us along with you. I enjoyed every moment.
It fills my soul every time I envision Paris. There is nothing else like it!
Bon jour Dreama, thanks so much for sharing your journeys with us! It’s been awesome!! That scarf is beautiful, and I’m wondering how I missed it while I was in Paris a couple of months ago! I didn’t find any art inspired scarves and would certainly enjoy wearing it! It’s beautiful!
Thanks for always being such an inspiration!!
I sure wish I could have toured Paris…perhaps another time.
When I think of Paris I think about how much I want to go back! The first time I was only 19 and was only there a day. Hoping to return!
I am going to miss France, I feel as if I’m coming home from your workshop too!
Thanks so much Dreama for our last little peek of France! Loved seeing Paris! It always makes me think of a first class airplane flight with champagne headed to fine food, great wine and romance! (I have never been…but I do know how to dream big ;0) xoxo
Great work!!! I love it all!
Dreama, thank you for more wonderful dreaming.
I feel like I’ve expieranced a little bit of Paris thanks to you. Today,August 9th is my birthday. I would love to have a beautiful “SCARF” for my 72nd birthday. I would paint with it draped around my neck and dream of where it came from.
Each picture was better than the one before, and the video was the creme de la creme. I thought I loved NYC, now there is this new love…ah, the fickle heart.
Sitting at a side walk cafe enjoying coffee and crepes.
Paris reminds me of exotic people, art and artist, beautiful colors and flowers and the food.
I really love your blog!
A wonderful sense of happiness, peace and pleasure.
Thank you for sharing such beautiful moments and place!
The scarf is luscious!
Yes, the scarf is wonderful. I think of the Eiffel Tower and Brie and wish I were there
I just dream of Paris and being there with my paints and easel in a pale blue/lilac French artists frock and beret with a bottle of red wine and the smell of Gitane cigarettes in the air, to get into the role of famous artist! Hmn, Dream on!!!
Oh, Dreama! You have captured the very essence of Paris. I was there two years ago, and you have made me desperate to return!!!!
Of Course the Eiffel Tower, and the food and the art, and the fashion and the patisseries, and You being there while I am not. Thanks for bringing it home to us.
Excitement, joy and romance! ♡ :))
Paris calls to mind romance, the Eiffel Tower, “French Kiss”, and a brief anniversary trip my husband and I made
Dreama, I am sure you have read/heard this thousands of times, but here’s one more. Thank you for sharing your art and travel experiences with us.
This summer our family has been through a terribly difficult experience of losing a young nephew. One of the few things that would allow me a mental break and that I looked forward to, was receiving your emails, reading your blog, and admiring your new masterpiece. Thank you.
Safe and fun travels.

Excitement! I’m planning my first trip to Paris. I love the photos and videos you sent us. Thank you for bringing us along on your trip to Paris. Hope you arrived safe and sound to the bluegrass Paris.
The Eiffel Tower always comes first, but the flower lined streets, shuttered windows with flowers, and the peaceful cafe-lined streets is what most often comes to mind . . . . . sigh . . . . oh Paris!
I really want to go to France after being enticed with all your photos and videos.
So wish I could have been in France this summer. .Thank you for taking me along with you..
What do you like best about Paris, the pastries or the lavender???? Hard question to answer. Have been to Paris and a couple of surrounding towns, those pastry shops just about jumped out on the sidewalk and grabbed me!!
Can’t wait to meet you in Costa Mesa later in the year.
Looks like you had a great trip. Love your pictures! Thank you for sharing.
A sidewalk cafe, autumn leaves scattered on the ground, pale sunshine, a lover.
PARIS makes me think of romance, good food but most of Art! I am an artist, I love the impressionists, and Paris is the center as far as I am concerned.
I had never been interested in Paris or France until I saw your video. I had no idea that Paris itself was a work of art! What a gorgeous city! You are a lucky cat (say hi to the Eddies!) to have that experience!
Paris brings to mind romance, the Eiffel Tower, “French Kiss” and a very brief anniversary trip my husband and I made a long time ago. I would love to go back now that I’m a sketcher and a painter. 🙂
Lovely. Just lovely. C’est Paris.
Paris is one of my very favorite cities – you’re reviving my wonderful memories of it. And Kandindky – oh-la-la – love him!
Thanks for all you do.
Ah, the Musee’ D’Orsay. What a wonderful memory. Gayle
May the lusciousness of Paris France carry over to the particular beauty of Paris, KY. Looking forward to more of your interpretations of both.
I would like to enter the contest for the scarf. I love your work and your attitude.
When I think of Paris, I think of love, and art, and wine, and food…all good.
Quaint scenery, charming people, and something to paint everywhere you look!
What a fabulous video of Paris! You captured it perfectly!!! I loved it!
Paris makes me feel young and excited to start each day with volumes of enthusiasm!!!
I love Paris, it takes me back to another time and my imagine has some fun! The beautiful museums and wonderful settings at the outdoor cafes…..
