Petey Update for You Catty People

Sometimes one just needs to come clean.  It’s not a particularly proud moment but those of you with cats will understand this.

I brought Eddie Pierre, now nicknamed “Petey”,  into my home 3 years ago when he was a mere kitten of 2 months and weighed only ounces.
It seemed like the neighborly thing to do.
He is now 18.5 pounds and…well….the following two brief videos pretty much sums up where things stand now.

Feel free to add your own “tail” of being held hostage by your cats.  You are not alone 😉

P.S.  Petey Song courtesy of my sis Rhonda–sung early in the morning while still in her P.J.’s 🙂
P.S.S.  I feel it important to mention that my daughter has also devised a new pastime called “Petey Tipping”—similar to cow tipping, just minus the mooing.

Petey is so ADORABLE !! So happy to learn you rescued him, all of my children have been rescues, two have passed on 🙁 but lived very good spoiled lives. The two I have now; my boy is also 18 lbs 🙂 and my little girl is 10lbs. I’ve been a Cat person since I can remember I like dogs but never owned one and I think they;re too needy 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thanks for sharing and please continue to share.

Sorry Petey, but 3 of my 5 cats are older & they have already usurped ‘center of the universe’ status. Scamp, Sport & Shop Rag are such centers of the universe that they have two moons orbiting them – Bimmer & Pookie.

So cute. My daughter’s cat Tucker is living with us right now. Such a big personality for such a little body. I was forced to make him my assistant studio manager. Cooper the Sheltie is okay with that as long as he gets top billing.

Oh yes…I definitely know that particular tune – ‘whatever (insert name of cat here) wants, they definitely get.
Your Petey Pierre is like my Benny (sans adorable mustachio!) – he started out small (we got him when he was about two months old) and now, he is a whopping 20 pounds. Adorable and cuddly, but he definitely will let you know what he wants, when he wants it (usually right that very second).
And then there’s Phillo – who is also affectionate, cuddly, funny, sweet and adorable…but oh…my…heavens…the entire universe MUST revolve around him and his every whim and fancy.
But the alternative to that…? A world without our wonderful, sometimes crazy, sometimes neurotic, but always wonderful cats is a world that I wouldn’t want to imagine living in.
Petey, like his adopted brother Eddie Bill, is one gorgeous boy.
And one more thing – your sis Rhonda has a wonderful voice. 🙂

Dreama, your cat is so much like my cat Velvet! She jumps on my lap while I’m painting and refuses to get down. Then she gets mad and goes to the hallway and lies there sulking and looking depressed. What a diva! I noticed in your video that when you try to pet him he is biting you, and Velvet does that, too. At least these cats let us live in their houses . . . for now;)
