“Art is what we call…
the thing an artist does.

ignored the voice of doubt and made something worth making.”

I feel joy when I’m with family and /or friends. I especially feel joyful when I am painting with friends. Watercolour is my medium.
Joy to me is when I open my eyes in the morning; so many possibilities… Receiving love and kindness is great but I love giving love and spreading kindness.
Affirmations such as your posts which I keep handy to review and remind me of the joy all around us, if only we look up.
I love: sharing stories about my children when they were kids, sharing my love of reading with the children I tutor, sharing my knowledge of grammar and writing with my students, praying, going to Mass and telling God about the good in my life.

This very minute, I am sipping fresh-brewed coffee with my dearest friend of 44 years. It is quiet beyond description because the world is still asleep. I have found that the little moments bring great joy.
The joy of God and everything that He has provided for us, down to the most minute pleasure and need. I am humbled and in awe when I stop to look at all that surrounds me.
Being present in the moment whether with my family, art, or faith time is what brings me JOY! <3

My greatest joy is the bliss I feel when I am with my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter.

I know that I am in good company here….like so many of you my joy comes from my grandchildren and children, my painting, and from nature.
Finishing a work of art gives me such pleasure and a feeling of accomplishment as I cannot get elsewhere.
